Pangkor Youth Camp - Part 1

Okay peeps.
I have a long grandmother story to tell.
Sit back and enjoy if yo
u have the patience.
I just came back from a com
bined youth camp
in Pulau Pangkor from
15th to 18th.
There were 3 churches - EAO
G, Elim & BSGC.

On the night before camp (14th)
we had a tha
nksgiving night.
The Elim & EAOG people
gathered and makan.
As for the committees,
we had to sleepover
to check on the final prepar
ations.
(Committees are Shireen, Bernice, Amelia, Cindy,
Jonathan, Chin Ai, Shu
Wei, Seline and me)

We did work until about 2am.
And it was so cold through
out the whole night.
Sara and Shireen w
ent out to sleep.
I kept waking up to blow my blocked nose
and others kept tossing a
nd turning.
Well we thought only
ourselves were cold
so no one bothered to
turn down the air-con.

DAY 1
Finally we woke up at 8am.
Went to wash up and p
ack up.
After that, Shu Wei,
Sara and i walked over
to the mamak to hav
e our breaksfast :D
When we came back people
started to arrive.
Then, we boarded the b
us at 10.30am.

I sat in front with Sara.
Got nothing to do except t
exting people 'cause
Sara was playing Warc
raft the whole time.
And the bo
ys on my left
kept playing their
PSP pulak.
Esther texted me and a
sked me to find her
where she sat right
behind with Paul.
What la her.

Struggled my way behind and
knocked into quite a few people.

Then, we stopped to take our chicken rice.
We continued our jo
urney and
finally reached jett
y at 1.30pm.
BSGC people ate their lu
nch and we waited
for the ferry to take us to the
other side.
Was very sleepy while ot
hers started to
camwhore listeni
ng to songs etc.
Shu Wei and i jus
t dozed off xD

At the ferry we took the taxis,
which in this case, vans to
our resort.
Seagull res
ort.
It's around Tel
uk Nipah beach
that stretch but mu
ch further in.

We gathered in the hall for roomings.
After unpackin
g our luggage,
we gathered once ag
ain for briefing of
camp rules, groupings etc.
Committees were in Mo
ngolian Hordes :)

Then, we had a
n ice-breaker.
Boom boo
m game.
After that anoth
er game.
10 people have to us
e their leg to
stick their neighbour's leg
and continue on.
The advisers group were s
o funny!
Next game was group
s must do the
opposite of instruct
ions given.
Around 5pm we got back
to our rooms
to wash up r
est etc.
Committees shared a room
LH 27
and it's beside shu-yan's room
(with esther, boe
y and jia ern)
The room was worse
than i expected.
Toilet cannot flu
sh, so if got any
big business have to g
o next door.

Dinner was at 7pm.
Seriously not delicious :X
Then worship led by Shu W
ei and Seline as back-up.
Good j
ob as she's first timer :)
We started our 1st session after
that.
Camp speaker was P
astor Philip Devadas.
We divided into groups and did
a presentation on
What girls/boys want the opposite gender to be?

What girls/boys think t
he opposite gender are?
Had a good time laugh
ing man!

Supper after that.
Campers were suppose to have dorm prayer and
sleep at 11pm but the electricity w
as cut before that.
And before the electricity
resumed,
it started to pou
r heavily.
So everyone's co
mplaining and
was like hanging aroun
d the cafeteria.
We could only start our committ
ee meeting
until after we shoo-d t
hem back to sleep.
So it was super duper late by th
en we finished.
I finally slept at 1.30am.

p/s : it was Bill Liew's birthday.
So the committees gave him the
camp banner as his bir
